ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide remarkable guest service by anticipating Guests’ needs, connecting with them on a personal level, and transforming their moments with us into experiences that last a lifetime.
  • Gain and share your knowledge of Space Needle, Seattle and the Puget Sound area to lead a guided visit for Guests’, providing an unforgettable in depth experience.
  • Engage Guests using our free photo experiences both in stationary and roaming positions at Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass.
  • Show impeccable initiative to move flexibly between areas of the operation to organically shift to the needs of our Guests. Maintain a high degree of flexibility; comfortable changing roles or focus area throughout the day.
  • Stay up-to-date on all digital experiences and services, including but not limited to the Space Needle official app, SkyHigh Selfies, as well as being able to execute basic troubleshooting skills when needed.
  • Communicate seamlessly with the Guest Experience Operations and Photography team (including fellow Team Members and management) to ensure adequate coverage and high levels of guest service throughout the operation.
  • Lead organized private VIP groups from the bottom of the Space Needle to the top, explaining the history, architecture and structure using a detailed self-created script and adding in your own personal flare.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a positive and professional attitude to all Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass Team Members and Guests.
  • Provide lateral support to other departments when needed or assigned.
  • Demonstrates speed of service (the ability to manage heavy traffic in an efficient manner) while maintaining a friendly approach.
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Management team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Engaging and energetic personality, friendly attitude, and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training using professional camera equipment, computers, and VIP Voyage factual training.
  • Proven high guest service skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Photography experience a plus, but not required.
  • Basic computer knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to walk or stand for an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with large groups potentially including high-level executives and VIPs.
  • Must be able to connect with a broad range of people to make them feel comfortable, welcome, and walk away knowing more than when they arrived.

Part Time, Hourly Position - Fri/Sat/Sun OR Sat/Sun/Mon

Hourly Rate: $21.32 - $21.32 / hour
