Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Grant Writer to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Grant writer will be responsible for finding funding opportunities by researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grand proposals that supports and meets the needs of Mountain View Hospital existing and planned programs activities, overseeing the grant process from beginning to end. Will provide reporting of grants to administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Research and identify new and diverse types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each grant.
  2. Discusses available sources of funding with management team.
  3. Compiles necessary information for the application process through collaboration with employees, database research, and other factfinding actions and meetings.
  4. Drafts and completes grant applications according to application requirements.
  5. Ensures grant is submitted on time and within application parameters.
  6. Completes all documents, forms, or reports required by grants.
  7. Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.
  8. Develop and maintain master files on grants and paperwork connected to grants.
  9. Maintains consistent reviews of grant activities to ensure compliance of regulations and requirements.
  10. Maintains contact with funding agencies, Finance Department and auditors in matters related to awarded grants.
  11. Communicates and provides feedback routinely for grant proposals, regulations, and requests from granting agencies to management team.
  12. Monitors post-award activities to assure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.
  13. Provide recommendations on terms and conditions of awarded grants, address any grant issues and provide information to the management team.
  14. Maintains a grant report deadline and extension calendar.
  15. Tracks and prioritizes projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
  16. Resolve complex, technical, administrative and other problems or risks associated with developing proposals.
  17. Ensure preparation, assembly, and delivery of proposal documents.
  18. Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and the ability to locate potential sources for funding.
  19. Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  21. Thorough understanding of grant writing techniques.
  22. Ability to interpret financial data and prepare financial grant reports.
  23. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.

Equipment/Technology: Ability to work in a professional office setting using programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Mental Capabilities: Can concentrate for long periods of time to complete assigned tasks with a better than average attention span in order to listen, read and remember verbal and written instructions. Can understand input from the manager concerning errors and instructions.

Performance: Must be able to handle multiple tasks and take direction from management. Hold oneself to high standards and professionalism while representing Mountain View Hospital.
