Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops proposals, gather supporting information and documentation, compose grants, and submit all documentation to the granting agency in a timely manner.
- All grants must meet all GWH guidelines and requirements, complying with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Studies and understands the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of GWH.
- Maintain relationships with granting organizations and agencies.
- When needed, gathers necessary subject matter experts together for discussion and assembles information pertinent to grant applications.
- Develop and maintain a master file of pending, existing, and past grants across the organization.
- Implement and maintain funding calendar activities, including specific cultivation strategies.
- Research and identify new government, corporation, foundation, and private funding prospects as well as other grant opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to evaluate budgets, ensure grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the organization and oversee the timely completion of financial reports to funders.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency with technical and letter writing.
- Experience with Raisers' Edge.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in grant writing and the submission process.
- Familiar with federal, state, and local agency regulations regarding grant programs.

- Reporting is up-to-date and available on shared drives.
