Overview:

Roundtable Research is currently looking for a Video Editor to join our growing Media Production Team. This position will report to the Media Production Manager and is a new opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative production team. We are looking for someone with a passion and skills for video editing. The ideal candidate will bring new ideas that engage potential and existing subscribers, and efficiently manage a video production from pre- to post-production.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage video projects from concept to completion.
  • Edit in a broad range of styles, from 1-minute social media cuts to long-form branded storytelling to educational webinars and e-Learning curricula.
  • Edit video content, webinars and promotional videos at an expert level using Adobe applications (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder)
  • Work closely with internal/external marketing teams to understand project scope, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth production in a timely manner
  • Handle administrative responsibilities associated with projects including organization of file information, video assets and audio and video archive
  • Collaborate with members of the Video Team and internal staff to identify video solutions that achieve business objectives.
  • Find stock videos and create Microsoft Power Point text slides to enhance webinars, promotional videos and video sales letters.
  • Create text animations to be used as lower 3rds and video embellishments.
  • Expertly marry visuals, audio, and graphics to create compelling video storytelling including motion graphics as needed.
  • Color correcting footage as needed.
  • On-set support including set-up, teleprompter, and shooting as needed
  • Concept, direct, shoot using in-house equipment; assist with script development; capture new footage and apply effects; assemble/edit materials including graphics, photography, dialogue, existing footage, and sound effects if needed.
  • Assist with lighting and camera work for filming in office and in studio settings.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior VP of Digital Media.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Video Production, Film, Television, Electronic Media or equivalent experience.
  • 4-8 years of professional experience as a Video Editor. Videographer experience a plus
  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere. Proficiency with entire Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects and Photoshop is a big plus.
  • Significant video editing experience, preferably long form, short form, broadcast & native social media content.
  • Extensive knowledge of audio mixing. (with music, narration, and natural sound)
  • In-depth knowledge of video production gear (video cameras, lights, audio gear, drone).
  • Ability to create engaging videos for subscribers.
  • Strong color correction experience.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, organize time and identify resources for projects. Must be meticulous, technical, organized and creative. Must manage tight deadlines and execute on-time and on-task.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Comfortable using Mac operating system.
  • Camera and lighting experience a plus.
  • Financial experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Power Point.
  • Up to date on current editing trends (both creative and technical) to help ensure we remain competitive within the industry.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and creative team player with a passion for the video production environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of video development and production, and streamlining process for maximum efficiency.
