Job Description

Yorktel is currently seeking Video and Media Editor III who will assist the client in editing video, audio, and other media to create dynamic videos and multimedia projects. The Video and Media Editor III shall have excellent creative and communication skills and shall be able to adapt to frequently changing requests.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for post-production processes, including editing line cuts, finishing videos, color correction, and audio sweetening
- Cut-shot sequences at specific points to create fluid and seamless transitions between scenes
- Study scripts to familiarize yourself with production concepts and requirements
- Assist in the development of scripts and storyboards for public and agency videos
- Edit videos to insert music, dialogue, and sound effects, arranging them into sequences
- Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud tools) to cut unnecessary footage, refine coverage, insert transitions, and enhance raw footage
- Prepare media files for sharing across multiple platforms, including approval processes and web-based delivery
- Manage media storage and retrieval, ensuring files are saved, cataloged, and accessible for project operations and long-term archival
- Stay up-to-date on emerging software, techniques, and technologies in the field
- Apply principles of story development, directing, cinematography, and editing to create compelling content that aligns with the script and direction
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with crew, talent, client executives, and other guests

Skills & Abilities:
The Video and Media Editor shall have experience using the following applications and methods:
- Adobe Creative Cloud – contractor personnel shall be able to proficiently use the software applications included in the most current version of Adobe Creative Cloud as long as it exists, including, but not limited to, After Effects, Premiere, Audition, and Photoshop in support of video and audio editing, animation, and other multimedia presentations.
- Microsoft Office Suite – contractor personnel shall be able to use the software applications included in the most current version of Microsoft Office Suite
- Conversions – contractor personnel shall understand various video and graphic formats and be able to convert them into usable file types suitable for both postproduction and delivery.
Education & Experience:
Shall meet one of the following minimum requirements:
- Have 10 years of experience in video editing
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in film and/or video production or related field, plus 4 years of experience editing and rendering video
- Knowledge in Studio Production is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- Requires extensive sitting, standing and walking
- Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests required by current or future contracts
