Job Summary
The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) is seeking a dedicated, creative, and highly organized Costume Design Teacher for our award winning performing arts program. This teacher will inspire and educate students in the art and craft of costume design, helping them to develop skills that combine technical expertise with artistic vision. In addition to teaching classes, this role requires managing and executing costumes for the academy's mainstage productions throughout the year. We work in and out of the high school bell schedule with classes and performances that can go into the evening hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in costume design and construction, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering students' growth as both artists and collaborators.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credential Requirement: Designated Subjects: CTE - Arts, Media, and Entertainment Credential.
If you are completing a credential program and your credential has not yet been issued, you will need to: Create a document, name it CREDENTIAL. Write an explanation indicating that your credential has not yet been issued but has been filed for. Save the document as a pdf. and upload it to your scanned documents for submission with your application.
