POSITION PURPOSE
The Content Specialist will be a key member of the Professional Learning and Coaching team and will be independently responsible for collaborating to conceptualize, develop, and disseminate culturally sustaining professional development materials in the areas of early care and education teaching practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In support of this effort, the duties of the Content Specialist will include, but are not limited to:
Develop, write, and edit content for courses, training, and professional development materials.
Participate in simultaneous multilingual design processes.
Research and utilize evidence-based materials into accessible language for teachers and early care providers.
Develop culturally sustaining professional development material.
Lead projects from inception to completion.
Participate in a review and evaluation process to ensure high-quality content.
Collaborate with media, graphic design, and instructional design units.
Participate in or lead meetings with project partners.
Work with state partner organizations to implement stakeholder review processes.
Deliver instruction and training to early care and education coaches and providers.
Regularly communicate goals, milestones, and project timelines.
Perform project management for assigned projects.
Coordinate with the Communications team on marketing plans as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field AND at least 3 years of experience working with early care and education environments.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Experience in designing, writing, developing, and editing culturally sustaining professional development materials. Demonstrated commitment to equity in early learning and professional development.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in early learning or related fields. Background knowledge and experience in teaching young children with disabilities.
