Job Overview:
The Marketer and Designer specializing in social media graphics is responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging graphics / social media posts for various social media platforms. They collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and produce eye-catching designs that effectively communicate brand messages and drive audience engagement.
**This is an unpaid, volunteer position that will require a minimum of 3 - 6 months time commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and produce high-quality graphics for social media platforms, including images, illustrations, banners, and infographics.
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand guidelines.
Develop creative concepts and design mockups for social media campaigns, promotions, and advertisements.
Create visual assets that are optimized for different social media platforms and devices.
Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices in social media graphics.
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure visual consistency and alignment with content strategies.
Iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
Proven experience as a graphic designer, with a focus on social media graphics.
Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative design concepts.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Portfolio showcasing previous work in social media graphics and design projects.
