3D Designer

Description
The 3D Designer is responsible for developing best in class skills that deliver the highest quality documents in accordance with LeJeune's established procedures. Skills in Tekla related to modeling, detailing, checking and personal development improvements are expected from each team member.
Responsibilities/Tasks of role:
- Design/Specification Review
- Project Set-Up
- Building the 3D model
- Creating a Bill of Material for Purchasing
- Connection input (to model)
- RFI writing and tracking
- Creating steel shop & erection drawings
- Managing schedules for approval and fab
- Creating shop and field bolt lists
- Tracking changes and managing added or revised members
- Coordinating with other trades (precast, curtain wall, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Architectural Drafting/Technology course, or approved equal
- Previous experience with Tekla Structures preferred
- Good communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Meet department/project deadlines through organized time management skills
- Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
