Description
At LeJeune Steel Company, we're In search of a qualified and resourceful 3D Design Group Intern to work in our 3D Design Group department to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. The intern should be a detail-oriented person that has interest in 3D modeling, detailing, and producing shop and erection drawings for our fabrication facilities and field subcontractors. You will be involved in a structured training plan to use our software, our standards and procedures as well as interact with our Engineering, Sales, Estimating and Project Management staff.
Responsibilities/Tasks of role:
- Design/Specification Review
- Project Set-Up
- Building the 3D model
- RFI writing and tracking
- Creating steel shop & erection drawings
- Managing schedules for approval and fab
- Creating shop and field bolt lists
- Tracking changes and managing added or revised members
- Coordinating with other trades (precast, curtain wall, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled full-time in the specified construction programs
- Exhibit good organizational skills
- Work effectively with a team
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Professionally handle multiple tasks and complex situations
- Have a passion for learning and a positive attitude
