Prevailance is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to provide support for:
- Execution of Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) phase training; including instruction to setup and operate an effective Tactical Operations Center (TOC) and in the Navy Planning Process for Battle Watch Captains, Staff Officers, Operational Planning Team (OPT) Leaders, and unit Commanders;
- Navy Expeditionary Staffs performance evaluation in integrated/advanced training events; exercise development and planning in support of Fleet and training/assessment exercises;
- Expeditionary Warfare (EXW), Irregular Warfare (IW), Construction (CON), and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) tactics analysis, review and standardization;
- Navy Expeditionary concepts review and proof of concept in fleet exercises;
- Mission area effectiveness assessments, and gap identification and analysis.
Provides various types of management and technical support to a wide range of projects including training and readiness assessments. Support design, development, refinement, and execution of training exercise scenarios in order to train and assess Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) unit(s)’ ability to effectively execute its combat mission in a MCO environment. These modes of events and exercise include, but are not limited to, an NECC Integrated Exercise (NIEX), FST exercise and, periodically participation (synthetic or live) in various Fleet exercises, most often when working with our forward deployed forces. The end-state - To train and assess units on the Navy Planning Process and their ability to conduct Mission Analysis and COA Development, followed by detailed mission planning and execution, including the unit's ability to effectively command and control assigned forces by observing and evaluating a unit's ability to setup and operate an effective Tactical Operations Center (TOC) during an integrated/advance exercise.
Additionally, in support of formal training, A/EDD’s are required to qualify and instruct in the Battle Watch Captain, Staff Officer, Operational Planning Team (OPT) Leader, and Commander’s courses of instruction. There is also a mobile training team version, Expeditionary Staff Training (EST) that combine portions of all 4 courses, that can be taken on the road to provide training for those forces forwarded deployed.
Requirements:Requires a minimum of ten years US military active service which includes units of action and operational staff experience; and three years of experience in military training and education focused on senior enlisted personnel, junior officers and senior officers or equivalent. Shall have participated in deployment and/or employment of NECC type forces or equivalent type forces. Shall have familiarization with NECC type-unit warfare missions, functions and capabilities and NECC unit-type Navy Mission Essential Tasks; recent (within the last five years) and relevant Navy training systems, processes and instruction.
A/EDD, requires a thorough and practical understanding in the development of exercise scenarios and all supporting materials/documents that enable integration with, and compliment, the overall exercise scenario and objectives. Shall have recent (within the last five years) and relevant Navy live, virtual, constructive, and simulation training development and execution experience at the tactical and operational levels.
Military/Navy Community Experience:
Experience in at least one or more of the following:
- Naval Construction
- Navy Expeditionary Logistics
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
- Coastal Riverine
- Navy Expeditionary Intelligence
- Navy and Naval Expeditionary operations
- Amphibious operations
- Combat Service Support
- Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (MCM) operations
- Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP)
Civilian Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
