Mechanical Designer Job at Qualified Technical Services in Clarkston

Sr. Mechanical Designer Client designs and builds custom solutions and systems such as enclosures, machine guarding, conveyors, workstations, etc. for manufacturing applications using extruded aluminum profile. The Mechanical Designer will work with our sales team, engineers, and customers to design and detail projects as well as manage the incoming RFQs to ensure timely response. Responsibilities include: Receive and review RFQs from sales team and/or customers Assign quote requests to engineers Ensure that quotes, approval drawings, and job releases are completed in a timely manner Assist in updating drawings from completed jobs Design and detail new projects Required Qualifications: 10 years+ of design experience Degree in CAD Design (preferred but not required) Strong background and experience with AutoCAD Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills High attention to detail, organizational and follow-through skills Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and see each through from concept to completion Preferred Qualifications: Conveyor Design Experience Automation Design Experience Mechanical Engineering degree
