Job Description Job Description Description: Impact Automation is seeking a Mechanical Designer who can generate mechanical drawing packages in AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D for parcel conveyor systems for several large customers. Candidates must have some mechanical aptitude – not just drawing lines on a paper. Candidates will be tested on using the command prompt, line-weights, sheet sets, plotting to pdfs, and x-refs. The ideal candidate can work independently, is technically sharp, and fast. There may be some travel, approximately 4-6 weeks per year, depending upon client projects. Responsibilities Design mechanical conveying systems Design and develop drawing packages for parcel conveyor systems Design to applicable standards Maintain a positive and professional work environment Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MS Office Experience in Inventor 3D modeling software or equivalent Proficient in detailing drawings 2+ years of mechanical design experience; 5+ years preferred Sheet metal design experience preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance – choose from either an HSA or a PPO plan 401(k) plan with 3% company contribution Profit sharing plan 4 weeks of PTO 6 paid holidays Monthly phone allowance Negotiable Salary A track record of success is required - advanced degrees are not.
