About Global Business Marketing & Global Brand Studio TikTok's Global Brand Studio produces business entertainment that promotes TikTok-first thinking, servicing global business marketing teams and regional business marketing teams through a scalable approach. The studio is comprised of world-class production experts, designers, and events professionals dedicated to showing our agency partners and clients how best to show up on TikTok. Overview: The Designer role on the Creative team is a key member within the greater design ecosystem in the TikTok for Business organization, responsible for delivering best-in-class video productions and graphics within TikTok Global Brand Studios. This position reports to the Integrated Marketing & Promotions Lead. The ideal candidate is a designer who is a self-starter with a good creative instinct. This candidate is a thoughtful collaborator, culture carrier, innovator, and no-ego creative who loves to inspire big ideas but also get into the thick of the work. The ability to deliver thoughtful solutions that help brands and agencies understand how TikTok can impact their businesses is a must. Finally, this designer should be capable of prioritizing workload with respect to asset delivery, render times, and pushing the envelope creatively. In this role, you will... - Brainstorm with designers and brand strategists to bring advertising campaigns, events and core narratives to life from concept to execution - Create campaign mock-ups and data visualizations for blog posts, newsletters and events - Design beautiful presentation decks - Execute graphic elements using Figma, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator and more - Contribute to brand guidelines development Key Responsibilities: Harness best-in-class production practices, stay up to date on graphics and design trends, resources and innovation to push boundaries and enhance TikTok's creative product. Responsibilities include: - Developing graphic design support for flyers, deck designs, presentations, infographics - Brand Identity and Event Production skills a bonus - Experience designing in/for PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and other presentation platforms - Must understand and be able to comply with brand identity & guidelines - Handling supplementary static storyboard graphics development for sizzle reels, webinars, explainer videos and more - Capable of working across a suite of creative software from Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator as well as Final Cut Pro, 3D Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, Da Vinci, etc. - Strong conceptual thinkers. Designers are expected to not just execute ideas but also be a part of the initial creative process from brainstorming to post mortems - Good communicator and ability to design and articulate your concepts in a clear, concise manner - Good time management skills and creative situational awareness ability - Understanding of visual design elements, color, and composition, as well as sensitivity to aesthetic and seasonal trends - Ability to conceptualize across a broad range of aesthetics and styles - Detail oriented. Ability to deliver a polished product under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload - Experience in project management and data management software such as Trello, Asana, Jira, Airtable, Google Sheets, etc. - Experience working on a tight production schedule and translating ideas into action - Ability to learn and apply new knowledge and skills quickly, in a fast-paced work environment - Must be dependable, positive, open-minded, and be able to clearly communicate both verbally and visually Qualifications - 3-8 years experience in graphic design; prior experience working on e-commerce related campaigns or projects is preferred but not required - A portfolio of best-in-class creative that connects brands with audiences digitally and beyond - Great with feedback and revisions - Understanding of platforms and social media best practices, with experience in social-first production - Expert written and verbal communicator, with the ability to articulate abstract creative concepts - An understanding of TikTok and what is trending on the platform - Interested in the future of Vertical Video - 4-year degree in design or a related field is preferred but not needed - Excellent time management, budgeting, and negotiating skills - Experience working on a tight production schedule and translating ideas into action - Commitment to promoting a professional, creative, friendly, and supportive work environment - Always Day 1 mentality - Demonstrated familiarity with TikTok platform and Creators - Exemplary written and presentation skills that capture the audience's imagination - A depth of knowledge in digital culture and the audiences that populate them - Multiple disciplines embracing the various roles required throughout a project - Ability to think clearly and contribute to strategic discussions during the entire design process, from concept through completion TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
