Motion Recruitment is hiring: Technical Designer in New York

Our client, a well known apparel retail company, is looking for someone to join their team as a Technical Designer. This role is onsite in Manhattan, New York.

*This is a 4 month W2 contract*

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications and execute the technical design process from development to final fit.

What You Will Be Doing

• Ensure that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications
• Make appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price
• Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in fashion or equivalent experience
• Retail experience
• Experience working with vendors/factories
