About the role
As a Senior Product Designer you will report to the CEO and be a core member of our product and engineering team. In this role you’ll contribute to the overall design direction at Copilot, own our design system, lead design of our core product, work closely with engineering, conduct user research, and more. We will compensate you well, invest deeply in your development, and do everything we can to make sure this is an incredible work experience for you.
What you'll do
You’ll own our design system. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving our design system in Figma.
You’ll design. You’ll create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for new features.
You’ll partner closely with product and engineering. You’ll work with product on user research and prioritization and partner closely with engineers on implementation.
You’ll spend time with our customers. You’ll be active in our Slack community, talk to our customers, conduct user research, and listen in on sales calls.
You’ll delight. You’ll spend spend time working on exploratory & fun ideas, not because users asked for them, but because great products find ways to surprise users.
You'll help build the team. You’ll help establish a design culture within Copilot, help build our public design presence, and recruit other talented designers.
You'll learn about startups . Aside from your core work, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other areas - marketing, growth, ops, etc.
Who you are
You’re passionate about design. You have a deep-rooted passion for design and are motivated to push the bounds on high-quality opinionated software.
You're experienced. You have 3+ years of experience in product design and can point to a portfolio of projects that you’ve meaningfully contributed to.
You’re opinionated. You believe that great products are necessarily opinionated, sweat the details, and hold yourself and colleagues to a high bar.
You’re not afraid to get into technical weeds. You understand that design doesn’t end in Figma and care about the quality of implementation. To that end, you have at least some technical experience, allowing you to work effectively with engineers and possibly even test ideas in code or contribute to our codebase.
