Leading Women’s Retailer in Manhattan NY is seeking Designers that will be responsible for delivering innovative, commercially viable designs within our women’s activewear, swimwear, and intimate wear collections. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role will develop new products and update existing lines, ensuring each piece reflects the brand's aesthetic and strategic direction.

Your Impact

  • Design Execution: Create commercial, brand-aligned designs that resonate with the conceptual direction and business strategy. Deliver designs with precision, focusing on both speed and agility.
  • Product Development: Develop seasonal designs emphasizing style, fit, and fabric that align with consumer demand. Adapt designs based on feedback, ensuring each iteration meets brand standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with key teams such as Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development to execute design concepts and incorporate feedback seamlessly.
  • Tech Pack Management: Create accurate tech packs, focusing on detailed specifications like construction, draping, and finishing techniques, ensuring prototype accuracy. Update bills of materials (BOMs) in Centric, ensuring precision and consistency.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5+ Years of Design Experience in a comparable retail environment, with a proven record in creating successful product lines.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong sketching abilities in Illustrator, including quick, detailed sketching and coloring. Knowledge of bra construction and design skills for women's sports wear, swim, sleep, or intimates is advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe Creative Suite programs. Familiarity with Centric PLM is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong understanding of fit, construction, and fabric choice, with experience creating meticulous tech packs.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Illustrator, with fast sketching and coloring abilities.
  • Tech pack expertise, specifically in sportswear and swimwear construction.
  • Proficient in InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite for design execution and concept presentations.
