Description OVERVIEW
McKim & Creed is a leading top 150 ENR-ranked firm and we are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Designer to provide technical and design services in support of mechanical design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team. YOUR DAY-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Provides technical and design services in support of mechanical design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce HVAC mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
Will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule, managing other designers and communicating with Project Manager, Sr. Mechanical Engineer, clients and design team to complete projects efficiently.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Must have at least 5-7 years of similar work experience (including Revit and AutoCAD experience).
EIT or PE Preferred but NOT REQUIRED
Demonstratable experience in HVAC mechanical design and construction document production.
Experience with HVAC mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Good technical and communication skills required.
Methodical, precise and consistent but enjoys some variety in work schedule and can tolerate change.
Enjoys working on a project team and training and mentoring entry level designers and engineers.
Must be able to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
Ability to travel on a limited basis throughout the state of Florida.
Will require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Requires an acceptable background screening.
