We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a manufacturing company in the Cincinnati, OH area. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, analyzing manufacturing costs, and supporting month-end closing processes. This position offers exposure to both traditional accounting functions and manufacturing-specific financial operations. This is a full-time on-site role with an annual salary range starting at $68,000.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining cost accounting systems and analyzing manufacturing variances
Process and record inventory transactions and assist with physical inventory counts
Calculate and track work in progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory valuations
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules
Help prepare documentation for external audits
Analyze bill of materials (BOM) costs and support pricing decisions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-4 years of accounting experience
Understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and cost accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and communication skills
