Internship Overview:
Abrams seeks an enthusiastic children’s book lover with a passion for learning more about School & Library marketing to join the team as a Spring intern!
The School & Library Marketing Intern will work closely with the School & Library department
in their outreach to educators and librarians, as well as on the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for titles focusing on the Children’s list, ranging from board books to young adult novels.
Tasks may include assisting in brainstorming ideas for marketing efforts; coordinating mailings to key contacts, award committees, and reviewers; researching new educator and librarian contacts to build our list of contacts; assisting with preparations for conferences and events; and updating and maintaining departmental organizational documents.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in children's book marketing and to learn more about the way publishers work with educators and librarians to support the vital services they provide to their communities.
Responsibilities include:
- Have an interest in pursuing a career in publishing and a passion for children’s books
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
- Possess excellent writing and communication skills
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Knowledge of Canva, a plus

Internship Duration: January 6th - April 16th
Hybrid Schedule-Three days per week in-office
