We are a leading distributor of metalworking machines, tooling, services, automation, and engineering support, with over 50 years of experience serving the manufacturing industry. We operate across several states, providing end-to-end solutions to metalworking manufacturing companies.
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Marketing Director to develop and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns with our company goals and the unique needs of each business unit.
This role requires a leader with robust digital marketing expertise and a solid foundation in traditional marketing practices to drive growth, brand recognition, and engagement across our diverse product lines and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that supports the company’s objectives and the individual needs of each unique business unit.
- Collaborate with business unit managers to understand their specific marketing needs, sales cycles, and product offerings to ensure the marketing approach is tailored and effective. AND develop and establish a unified marketing message across all states and business units while accommodating local needs.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, and email campaigns, to drive awareness and lead generation.
- Oversee and utilize the CRM system to analyze customer data, identify touch points, streamline communications, automate workflows and follow-ups, etc.
- Develop a content calendar that includes blogs, whitepapers, videos, case studies, and other formats.
- Equip sales teams with marketing tools and resources, such as case studies, presentations, and product sheets.
- Lead the planning, organization, and execution of trade shows and industry events; coordinate logistics, develop marketing plan and materials.
- Work with our suppliers to create joint marketing initiatives or co-branding opportunities.
- Manage external vendors, including agencies, designers, and other partners.
- Analyze data to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Seven (7) plus years of progressive marketing experience and two (2) plus years of management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the digital space, supporting or leading marketing initiatives or channel programs (web management, e-commerce, email marketing, SEM/SEO, and social media).
- Proven experience in both digital and traditional marketing within a B2B environment, ideally in the manufacturing or metalworking industry
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and experience using CRM data for audience segmentation, personalized marketing, and lead nurturing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inform, influence, negotiate, mediate, and guide work through a large, cross-functional organization.
- Solid understanding of sales processes and product life cycles within industrial or manufacturing sectors
- Exceptional project management skills, with a record of successful cross-departmental collaboration
- Flexible and versatile. Comfortable with change and able to readjust priorities quickly when necessary to meet business demands
