Overview
Closet America is seeking a an experienced and data driven Marketing Director to lead and execute our marketing efforts across traditional and digital marketing platforms for our home improvement services company. As the Marketing Director, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies aimed at generating qualified leads, and ultimately increasing customer acquisition and retention. This role requires a thorough understanding of both traditional and digital marketing techniques, exceptional creativity, a data-driven mindset, and strong leadership abilities.
What You Will Do:
Build a best-in-class data-driven marketing model for our Home Organization business that matches or beats the performance of top competitors and top performers in general
Develop more real time reporting for marketing & sales performance with data analytics teams
Drive increased sales on a YoY basis (aligned with company goals) at a decreased market cost as a percentage of sales
Document processes and train your team to replace your own role to provide yourself with greater upward mobility in your career and inside the greater company
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify target audiences, competitors, and trends, and utilize the insights to develop marketing strategies that align with business goals
Develop a model of the customer journey for your categories of products and work to relentlessly improve every step of that journey
Build a process for leveraging a/b and mvt testing teams for optimizations and for personalizing and improving lead flow
Leverage out of the box growth hacking principles to apply systems and improvements to channels outside of current channels. Identify free or cheap traffic opportunities
Collaborate with other stakeholders to define marketing objectives, KPIs, and budget allocation, ensuring maximum return on investment
Stay updated on industry developments and emerging marketing trends to implement innovative strategies
Take full responsibility for the budget and its performance monthly, quarterly and annually
Plan, negotiate, and execute traditional media campaigns, including television, radio, newspapers, magazines, direct mail, outdoor advertising, etc
Monitor campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing activities
Coordinate with external and internal teams to develop compelling campaigns while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines
Coordinate all digital marketing efforts, including but not limited to website optimization, search engine marketing, display advertising, social media marketing, email marketing, and content creation
Drive organic and paid customer acquisition strategies, including identification of relevant channels, budget allocation, and campaign optimization
Measure and report on digital campaign performance, tracking key metrics, and preparing actionable insights and recommendations
Collaborate with internal teams and external teams to create engaging and informative content for various marketing channels
Co-develop a content calendar, ensuring regular production and distribution of high-quality content to attract, engage, and retain target audiences
Optimizing content for maximum response from potential leads through carefully conducted a/b and mvt testing
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target customer persona, ensuring all marketing communications effectively resonate with the audience
Craft persuasive, customer-focused copy for various marketing materials, including print, advertisements, website content, and social media posts
What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, or a related field or equivalent experience in the role
Proven experience 3-5 years as a Marketing Director, preferably in the home improvement or related industry
In-depth knowledge of traditional and digital marketing techniques, tools, and best practices
Proficiency in using marketing software and tools, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and content tools, etc
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive targeted marketing campaigns
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on persuasive writing/editing abilities
Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and strong attention to detail
Proven experience in managing and negotiating with external vendors
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and multitask effectively
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments in marketing technology
What We Offer: Competitive compensation between $150,000 to $180,000 dependent on experience and skills
