Van Horn Automotive is seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Manager to join our team! An ideal candidate has developed skills in leadership, vendor relations, communication, budgeting and measuring results through analytics.


The Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing marketing strategies across multiple channels that will drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately help dealerships achieve revenue and profitability goals. This individual should be well-versed in the purpose and proper application of advertising tactics in the areas of digital marketing, social media, traditional advertising, creative techniques, community development and public relations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive auto group marketing plan that aligns with company objectives and budgets.
  • Work with dealership stakeholders to manage their individual advertising expenses and provide recommendations for driving quality leads.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for project requests, developing comprehensive marketing briefs to guide resources in executing the work effectively.
  • Stay current with emerging automotive and advertising industry trends to make informed recommendations on new tactics, technologies and ideas.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring client expectations are met on time and within scope.
  • Work with creative teams to produce high-quality content that drives customer consideration.
  • Manage the brand's presence on social media, crafting strategies that build positive engagement and foster community.
  • Support OEM programs and seek opportunities for co-op funds
  • Collaborate with the Van Horn Gives committee and community leaders to identify strategic corporate giving opportunities and events that align with company values.
  • Develop crisis communication strategies to manage and mitigate negative brand exposure or public relations incidents.
  • Establish and maintain websites for each Van Horn dealership with a focus on usability (UX) and lead conversion.
  • Uphold merchandising standards for online vehicles and manage inventory listing partners (i.e., AutoTrader, Cars.com, etc.)
  • Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including PPC, SEO, display advertising, email marketing, and video/streaming platforms.
  • Implement a tagging strategy to track, analyze, and report on digital campaign performance.
  • Leverage AI and automation to generate personalized customer campaigns.
  • Monitor lead source reports to ensure marketing tactics are delivering high-quality leads.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Project Manager to measure attribution

Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience with a communications/marketing/IT department or advertising agency
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with expertise in team building and project management
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media platforms, CRM systems)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong public speaking abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license
