Job Description:
The School of Professional and Continuing Education at Madison College is hiring a Marketing Coordinator to manage social media, web content, and marketing materials for the Continuing Education, Business and Industry and The Entrepreneur Center. The school offers a variety of programs designed for learners of all ages and professionals looking to enhance their skills or pursue new career paths.
This is a full-time, 52-weeks per year position, general working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm however flexibility with core work hours can be discussed. Currently this position will work onsite at our Commercial Ave. location, but option for two days remote in the future could be considered. Hybrid work is subject to change.

Essential Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Marketing Department, helps to integrate broader marketing strategy at the tactical level by designing and implementing the digital campaign for the School of Professional and Continuing Education. Ensures that the digital content is current, visually appealing, and user-friendly for visitors to these web properties and digital domains.
- Leverages diverse social media platforms to effectively promote classes offered by the School of Professional and Continuing Education. Craft compelling graphics and digital descriptions to enhance the appeal.
- Develops and maintains a marketing calendar, ensuring effective planning and organization of marketing activities.
- Collaborates closely with faculty members to create compelling marketing content tailored to the classes. Creates eye-catching marketing flyers to promote various educational offerings. Devises and implements the marketing strategy for the Ed2Go program, contributing to its overall success and outreach.
- Create, write, and coordinate email marketing campaigns through the Constant Contact platform, focused on Continuing Education.
Misc.
- Processes and monitors third-party billings for continuing education, as well as tracking sales data for formative assessment by the SPACE & BICS strategic marketing team.
- Assists in setting up complex course offerings using the PeopleSoft Student Administration System.
- Maintains a commitment to the college mission, vision, and values.
- Provides comprehensive student support, assisting with various aspects such as registration, enrollment, drop procedures, and student advising for non-credit certificate programs, badges, and classes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated skill in communications and human relations with populations of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and persons with disabilities.
- Knowledge of web development and design.
- Demonstrates exceptional skill in establishing and nurturing effective and cooperative working relationships with individuals across all levels of the organization, as well as with students and the public. Interpersonal abilities enable them to build connections and foster positive interactions with diverse stakeholders, contributing to a harmonious and collaborative work environment.
- Exhibits a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, proactively addresses problems, and drive continuous improvement. Uses keen problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective solutions, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.
- Ability to work well with multiple people on multiple projects, under tight deadlines to meet deadlines, as well as, working independently. Ability to initiate work, work independently or with limited supervision, and make decisions with a minimum of direction.
- Experience with digital marketing and various social media platforms.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent working experience. *Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.
- Two (2) years of work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing the duties of this position.
