This client is working to transform the customer experience using data, digital marketing and technology. This makes digital communication like email critical to our success. As our Email Marketing Manager, you’ll develop and evolve our strategy for customer lifecycle communications, including transactional messages, triggered sends, marketing promotions, and newsletters. Your job is to convert leads to sales; increase customer retention; shift customer behavior from phone to digital channels; and improve operational efficiency.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Drive all facets of email marketing strategy, project planning and execution, including:
- Use of internal and external data sources and signals to segment, target and retarget customers
- Design of blueprints for automated customer journeys and drip campaigns
- Creation of testing plans to increase conversions
- Analysis of campaigns and recommendations for ongoing optimization
- Documentation of all processes
- Create multiple types of campaigns to meet business goals:
- Acquisition: Lead Management, Lead Nurturing, Sales Promotions, Website Browse and Website/Shopping Cart Abandonment.
- Retention: Onboarding/Welcome series, Newsletters, and Renewal campaigns.
- Digital adoption: Campaigns to drive adoption of web-based services.
- Service improvement: Transactional emails and Service Alerts to keep the customer informed from claim initiation through completion of repair.
- B2B: Improve and personalize communication between our business development team and their prospects and clients.
- Other: Explore SMS, mobile push alerts and other touchpoints to drive operational savings and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate efforts with Marketing team, including project managers, strategists, copy writers and call center/telesales managers. Directly manage a full-time email designer/producer.
- Lead projects to integrate external platforms with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Provide subject matter expertise to Customer Service, Sales, Service Network Management, and other departments on how they can use email to improve communication and drive business outcomes.
- Ensure proper compliance for email and other digital marketing communications.
- Provide additional digital marketing support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience building, deploying and optimizing email campaigns of various types.
- Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Must be able to set up automations, queries, triggered sends, journeys and scheduled sends.
- Proficiency in HTML, photo editing and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with web analytics (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.).
- Experience using CRM or other database to segment customers.
- Proven track record of using email to improve ecommerce conversion rates.
- Highly analytical. Able to develop A/B testing plans and derive meaningful data through testing and optimization, and provide meaningful reports to internal stakeholders.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, with close attention to detail.
