Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Database Marketing Manager that develops and executes all direct marketing (traditional mail, email, & SMS) and marketing analysis initiatives for the organization.
Direct marketing is largely facilitated through the use of MS Access queries via an ODBC connection to a replication server with subsequent analysis through MS Excel. MicroStrategy Business Intelligence is also used for selected reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all direct mail campaigns to include:
o development of list criteria
o quality control of lists, proofs, printing, and mailing
o maintaining relationships with affiliated departments (e.g., advertising, operations, finance, information technology, etc.).
· Ensure the health of the database by:
o maximizing the profitability of its segments
o developing initiatives to profitably grow the database
o keeping all records up-to-date.
· Lead all quantitative analysis as it relates to marketing to include:
o pre and post-campaign analysis of all marketing initiatives
o ad hoc analysis that may be dictated by business conditions
o make subsequent recommendations for change based on the resultant data.
· Manage vendor relationships (e.g., print vendors) so as to minimize price while maximizing quality.
· Develop and maintain all compliance-related policies.
· Manage departmental staff to ensure a healthy and productive work environment.
o Currently, this position manages one Direct Marketing Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as business administration, finance, economics, math, or statistics.
· 5-7 years of relevant experience.
· In-depth knowledge of casino operations and technical environments.
· Demonstrated technical (SQL, Access, Excel) and analytical experience is an absolute must.
