Marketing Specialist

This position is a key support position for the company sales and engineering team located in the Detroit area. Position encompasses Customer Service, Marketing, Administrative and Office support duties for the team. This position is part of the sales department with the goal to grow revenues by supporting current and potential new customers and promoting company products in the most efficient, effective, and profitable way.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media, Graphics, Public Relations

  • Initiated post objectives, ideas/captions, and grammar checks for Brazil's agency, evolving into the oversight of the entire North American social media.
  • Collaborated with internal agency for audience-tailored content and monthly advertisement planning to meet KPI goals. Conducted bi-weekly/monthly meetings with the agency, experimenting with diverse tactics for optimal social media results.
  • Set annual KPI targets, devised monthly plans, and improved the website in collaboration with Brazil, implementing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to update the customer list and create a customer survey for distribution, followed by analyzing and presenting the results.
  • Coordinated graphics for HR, Communication, office displays, customer outreach, website, The Brake Report, FMSI, magazine publications, sponsorships, tradeshows, etc. Coordinate photoshoots and video productions in Alabama for various platforms, including social media, press releases, and customer presentations.
  • Led to help with the creation and editing of press releases for Fras-le operations in North America and Brazil. Edit leaflets, press releases, videos, graphics, and all marketing content to meet English language standards for Fremax, Nakata, Controil, and Fras-le Brazil.
  • Create MKT releases for new product launch in our social media platform, websites and others.

Tradeshow

  • Collaborate with leadership to communicate graphics objectives for the upcoming shows, working closely with agency to finalize show graphics. Once show graphics are defined, coordinate with contacts for printing and packaging procedure.
  • Prepare and package all necessary items for the tradeshow, including new leaflets, graphics, promotional gifts, samples, tools for setup and cleaning, etc. Coordinate shipping logistics to and from the show in advance for booth crates, design electrical plans, and order necessary services through the show's platform.
  • Oversee the construction of the booth structure, ensuring proper lighting, products placement, and overall presentation. Order essential items like tables and carpet through the show company operator.
  • Reserve booth space and organize payments a year in advance for each show.
  • Handle logistics such as badges, presentation badges, hotel reservations, dinner reservations, schedules, and communication to the team regarding any special requests during the show. Prepare a comprehensive document before the show outlining the schedule and essential information for the traveling team.
  • Create a detailed tracking document for costs, checklists, and reservation numbers to present to marketing teams and discuss before the show.
  • Proactively manage uniform orders (both US and Brazil), deadlines for discount offers, and badge deadlines.
  • Familiarize with the rules of each show regarding booth setup, badges, and schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations.

MKT Intel and Sales Reports

  • Oversee all marketing subscriptions, ensuring accurate distribution and renewal. Manage the renewal process for all marketing subscriptions, maintaining continuous access to industry resources.
  • Conduct research utilizing external data sources and marketing subscriptions to gather informative PowerPoint presentations for the North American market.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to collect data and support yearly AOP figures . Analyze YOY changes for both Aftermarket and OEM sectors.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of executive sales report, actively working with Daniel to present strategic insights. Responsibility for monthly Sales and Marketing KPI duties, presenting key insights during KPI meetings.

Purchase Requests and Subscriptions

  • Document all subscriptions, managing payment records and entering them into SAP for payment processing.
  • SAP Responsibilities:
    1. Ensure all office-related payments, including rent and electricity.
    2. Oversee engineering payments.
    3. Manage the inclusion of marketing-related payments.
    4. Facilitate most payments out of Michigan.

Holiday Season

  • Collaborate with the sales team to organize the customer mailing list for the year-end distribution of customer appreciation gifts.
  • Facilitate the creation of holiday content or collaborate with the Brazil team for the development of seasonal materials to be sent to customers.
  • Organize the team holiday party event.
  • Collaborate with the team to select appropriate employee gifts and approval logos or branding.
  • Collect information to create shutdown email to be sent to customers, ensuring clear communication and a professional representation of company updates.

Office Responsibilities

  • Procure, organize, and coordinate the delivery or shipment of all office supplies and essentials.
  • Oversee office operations, including managing cleaning services, trash removal, and compliance with landlord requirements.
  • Coordinate the design and installation of logos, wall artwork, and graphics for both Alabama and Michigan offices.
  • Collaborate with Quality to address OSHA requirements, fire hazards, and office safety measures. Conduct team presentations and present needed important information related to audits and OSHA compliance.

Other Responsibilities

  • Organized all institutional files, images, presentations, and related materials into appropriate folders for accessibility and efficiency.
  • Designed marketing documents, including projects such as the New Business Award.
  • Prepare commercial invoices and packaging lists for engineering team sample shipments. Manage shipments in collaboration with the Brazil logistics team or independently created shipment labels. Complete necessary shipping documents, constant communicate with external shipping companies and ensure timely fulfillment of shipments for the engineering team.
  • Monitor and restock promotional items, regularly evaluating inventory needs and identifying areas for improvement.

Product – Competitors & MKT

  • Product cataloging tasks (ACES and PIES information update) to support the improvements on Fras-le’s electronic catalog.
  • Market analysis, creating a solid baseline on potential marketing by segments, VIO and Fras-le’s market shares.
  • Competitor analysis including portfolio of products, package, pricing strategy, commercial terms and build a cross-reference analysis with the Fras-le Mobility product lines.
  • Development of new packages and graphics for new Fras-le & private label programs, making all interface between customer, MKT team, agency and supplier.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS REQUIREMENT

Job requires travel (air and ground); must have a valid driver license with good driving record.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES

Level of Education Preferred: college degree in business, marketing, public relations or other related field required.

Experience Preferred: 0-3 years of relevant experience in sales or marketing. Must be proficient with personal computer, general office equipment, Excel, Power Point, social media.
