Job Description:
The Marketing Specialist will manage newsletter production, develop digital content, and collaborate with executives and subject matter experts to support the organization’s communication initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site contract role expected to last two months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with executives and subject matter experts to draft scripts and talking points for presentations.
- Oversee newsletter production, including content compilation, writing, review, and publishing:
- Draft and compile content by Monday, review Tuesday, publish Wednesday.
- Compile content Wednesday, review Thursday, publish Friday.
- Coordinate with student council members and compile content for monthly publication.
- Write and edit 1–2 news items weekly, including research reviews.
- Conduct member research for article mentions and share links with relevant section heads.
- Review and edit content from staff and members, ensuring adherence to AP style and organizational branding.
- Conduct online research to enhance content credibility.
- Provide content production support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 4–5 years in digital content writing and communication project management.
- Experience developing and curating content for newsletters.
- Working with executives to write scripts and talking points for in-person events.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Asana (or similar project management platforms).
- Strong working knowledge of AP style and SEO best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
