Description
Arellano Associates (AA) is a specialized public outreach and communications consulting firm focusing on public infrastructure, transportation, and community planning programs throughout Southern California and beyond.
As an Assistant Marketing Coordinator, you will support business development, proposals, and marketing efforts. This role is crucial for keeping our marketing materials up-to-date and ensuring our communications reflect the high standards of our firm.
Key Responsibilities
The AMC position requires the full range of communications skills, including but not limited to:
Event Coordination: Manage and organize logistics for conferences and events.
Promotional Materials: Handle the selection and distribution of promotional items.
Internal Marketing Initiatives: Support internal marketing efforts such as our internal company blog, employee events, etc.
CRM Management: Maintain and update customer relationship management systems.
Material Coordination: Regularly update proposal-related materials such as staff resumes, project histories, and company profiles.
Content Creation: Draft and edit text for proposals and marketing materials.
Research: Conduct thorough research and organize information to support business development.
Standards Compliance: Apply company guidelines to all marketing materials to ensure brand consistency.
Database Updates: Keep all marketing databases current with the latest information.
Task Management: Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
Team Collaboration: Work both independently and as part of a team to complete marketing tasks.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, OneDrive/Sharepoint, Google Maps, Google Drive, Constant Contact, and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin)
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or similar.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
At least two years of relevant experience in journalism, communication, or marketing.
0-3 years of relevant experience in journalism, communication, or marketing and/or a related discipline
Bachelor's Degree (highly preferred)
