OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY :This position is vital for expanding the presence of the Nikon brand and ensuring that Nikon’s marketing communication strategies align with the overall business objectives. The role requires an in-depth proficiency in social media industry culture, content, and marketing communication strategies. Some fundamental operations include planning and developing social media campaigns, creating compelling content for diverse social media platforms, driving engagement tactics and expanding fans, and enhancing the quality of ongoing campaigns.CompetenciesCross-team collaborationGrammar and syntaxSocial Media ReportingInfluencer relationshipsCommunication SkillsContent creationCommunity ManagementDesign thinkingOffline social media integrationESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Educate internal teams regarding social media trends, content, and data from Nikon USA channelsManage daily content creation, curation, and scheduling for social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and YouTubeBuild increased engagement amongst Nikon fans of all generations to drive positive sentiment regarding Nikon gear and programsSolidify and develop the Nikon national brand voice across multiple platforms for both online and offline eventsDevelop and manage a monthly content calendar that reflects Nikon marketing programs, priority messaging, and positioningCollaborate with paid media strategy to enhance the Nikon USA channel with quality follower growth and brand enhancementWork alongside Influencer Relations to build content for owned content opportunitiesCommunicate effectively with internal teams through reports, strategies, and presentationsWork with social media agency to report on social media data monthly aligned with branded marketing communication objectivesDefine, translate and manage social media KPI’s based on industry benchmarks and report to key stakeholdersAnalyze and monitor global industry specific social media trends for Nikon fans of all generationsAncillary responsibilities :Provide support and data to sales and marketing teams monthly.Provide trade show support.Travel for this position is required, domestic and possible international, up to 50%.All other duties as required or needed.QUALIFICATIONS :MS Teams and office suite programs, TableauMeta, Sprinklr, and other social media specific backend toolsMastery of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X management for national or global consumer brandsExperience as a content creator (personally or professionally) with the ability to record content with professional camerasAbility to edit grammar with detail to quality and professionalismProven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the consumer/ camera industry preferredDemonstrable experience leading and managing paid social media campaignsSolid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)Experience developing reporting / analysis of social performance, channel performance and audience sentiment; understands how to translate performance into actionable insightsThrives in a collaborative, creative culture and is an active contributor.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesMust have the ability to travel domestic, and possibly internationalMust be willing to work beyond the normal scope of business hours when requiredEDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:BA Marketing or Communications or equivalent related experienceMinimum 5+ years leading social media for a national or relevant brandMinimum 7+ years social media communications management experience (retail and/or wholesale industry preferred)Nikon Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
