Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Client Lead to join our media agency, responsible for overseeing all client communication and serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and updates. The Client Lead will act as a liaison between clients and internal departments, ensuring seamless information flow and timely task completion. This role also involves anticipating client needs, maintaining relationships with media partners, and overseeing financial management, including billing and budget tracking. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential to ensure client satisfaction and long-term success.


You will foster a passion for business results among junior team members while managing the growth and development of several direct reports.


You must have knowledge and experience in traditional and emerging media channels, and “own” and deliver measurable business results. You are comfortable talking about high level strategy as well as the tactics. Superior relationship building skills internally and externally are a must.

Title and salary for position to be commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client communication including status meetings, and all written and verbal check-ins
  • Act as a liaison between the client and agency internal departments to convey information, ensure understanding and make certain all tasks are completed in an accurate, timely manner
  • Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and updates, ensuring client satisfaction and trust
  • Anticipate client needs to ensure short-term and long-term success
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media partners and agencies
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Oversee financial management including billing and budget tracking
  • Responsible for account profitability efforts with Account Team VP including tracking and reporting account hours, and identifying/solving for areas of inefficiency
  • Ensure efficient financial management to optimize client investments
  • Oversee Project Manager in requesting and managing invoices internally, ensuring that billing trackers are maintained accurately, and pacing is correct
  • Serve as a bridge between our internal team and clients, fostering collaboration and transparency in all interactions
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet team and/or company needs


Keys to Success:

A strong background in media planning and buying with deep commitment to exceeding client expectations.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Account Management and/or Media Planning
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor and ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to manage multiple client contacts and stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical with excellent numerical aptitude to derive insights from various reporting channels, while also managing budgets, invoicing and cash flow
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with an orientation to details. Ability to resolve problems at both the strategic and execution levels.
  • Keen attention to detail while simultaneously assimilating large quantities of information often under tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment with effective project management skills
  • Willingness to “pitch in” with various ad hoc projects to support the larger planning team
  • Ability and desire to continually evolve skills to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s clients
  • Effective prioritization skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Proficient in SBMS/View a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed and as required by clients
