Job Description
Snow Goose Transit is a DBA of the Lincoln Hill Retirement Community, which is a non-profit organization. SGT’s mission is to provide reliable and safe transportation focusing on those with disabilities, older adults, and low-income families. The dispatcher & social media coordinator (D&SMC) position will assist the SGT manager in accomplishing this goal. This position is an entry level part-time position, and we provide the training. The shift starts at 6:00 am Monday through Friday, 5-6 hours per day, 25-30 hours a week, with a starting pay range of $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. We offer paid-sick time, vacation, & holiday pay. The D&SMC works as part of a team with the primary focus on dispatching and our social media presence. The D&SMC will work in conjunction with other dispatchers, drivers, and the SGT manager.
Dispatching:
· Maintain office equipment, answer phones, and relay information to all staff
· Inventory driver equipment
· Update status board daily
· Maintain regular contact with drivers, update changes to the passenger manifest, and collect daily logs from drivers
· Input route information into quarterly report(s)
· Track schedules and ensure accuracy
· Fill out all request paperwork for deviations
· Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
· Monitor route statistical information and report any discrepancies to SGT manager
· Conduct research necessary to implement deviations into the daily manifest in accordance with SGT policies
· Prepare passenger manifest for drivers by the end of shift for the next workday
· Input all completed driver forms into the tracking system within a timely manner
· Adhere to all SGT policies and procedures
· Other duties as assigned by the SGT manager
Social Media:
· Maintain SGT’s social media platforms, such as Facebook & Instagram
· Engage with customers and followers on social media
· Work with manager to develop, implement, and manage social media strategy
· Observe and respond to social media trends
· When needed attend events and produce live social media content
· Create, print, post and email the monthly newsletters
· Maintain SGT website and email address
· Assist SGT manager as needed
· Other duties as assigned by SGT manager
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience maintaining files and preparing correspondence.
- Experience updating social media platforms like FaceBook & Instagram preferred, but not required
- Experience updating websites & using MailChimp preferred, but not required
- Ability to handle large amounts of data
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles (i.e. older adults, minorities, and disabled).
- Ability to respond to multiple demands in a courteous and effective manner.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must be able to use computer and see color.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds.
- Must pass drug screening including marijuana & opioid.
- Must pass Federal Background Check
