We are currently seeking an experienced, Freelance Media Relations Specialist for a 12-month contract to support our growing PR team to secure press coverage in at the national news level (NewsMax, Fox News, NBC, etc. and national podcasts)

Our ideal candidate is a national news junkie who loves creative thinking and knows how to work with the media to bring client’s stories to life. You will be a prolific news writer who can develop press pitches and client briefings. This role will support the team and will play a role in the strategy and execution of PR Campaigns in the national news. We’d like to work with a Freelance Media Relations Specialist with strong existing media relationships and cultivate more on behalf of MassMedia clients.

Requirements

• Experience in media relations with a successful track record of landing placements with national news and podcasts

• Previous agency experience is preferred

• Possess a strong understanding of the national media landscape with existing contacts

• Proficiency in Meltwater or similar media tool to deliver impactful reports and demonstrate ROI for clients
