Music/Worship Intern
Full-time, temporary (Summer 2025)
Concordia Publishing House (CPH), the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, is seeking a Music intern. This intern will assist the music staff in the maintenance of music data on cph.org, the preparation of back-catalog music titles for release online, and the production of Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish.
Specific duties include:
- Engraving music using Dorico, Sibelius, or Finale.
- Reviewing and updating web metadata for music products.
- Preparing music titles for release as print-on-demand and downloadable products using InDesign.
- Proofreading music for Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish.
- Recording and editing audio samples using Audacity.
- Researching copyright status of music titles.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of historic and liturgical Lutheran church music (required).
- Coursework toward completing a degree in music, music history, or music business (required).
- Experience with PC computer systems (required).
- Experience with engraving software (strongly desired).
- Experience with InDesign/InCopy (desired).
- Completion of junior year of study with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Active involvement in campus life.
- Active membership in an LCMS congregation.
Interns will be paid at a rate of $16.00 per hour. Students from outside the St. Louis area will receive a housing allowance in the amount of $125.00 per week.
