Overview:
As the Global leader of PepsiCo’s strategic talent & music agenda, this role will help shape some of the biggest global campaigns (think No Lay’s No Game & the Pepsi UEFA Champions League Kick-Off Show ), on some of the world’s most iconic brands (Pepsi, Gatorade, Lay’s, Doritos, Rockstar), and on some of the biggest cultural stages (UCL Final, FIFA World Cup, EA FC… and more).
The role will lead PepsiCo’s music and talent strategy, negotiate high-powered partnerships, and build long-standing relationships with some of the biggest talent in the world and their rights holders. The role involves heavy influencing and coordination of 2x Global Teams (across Food & Bevs), multiple brand teams (Pepsi, Gatorade, Lay’s, Doritos, etc.), Regional Teams (inc. North America), and many more.
Responsibilities:
Manage PepsiCo’s overall portfolio of strategic talent partnerships across Sports & Entertainment passion points.
Provide strategic insights on the music and sports industries that help shape audience-centric brand engagement strategies & plans.
Spearhead talent partnerships and manage day-to-day strategic Global talent relationships. Build strong relationships that drive talent collaboration that optimizes the brand benefits.
Support key regional & local market teams in talent identification & contracting.
Partner with Global and/or Regional brand teams to lead key music brand platforms & campaigns.
License music and, when needed, lead the creation of new songs to drive love for brand programs and advertising campaigns.
Build global Music Festivals playbook.
Qualifications:
Key Skills / Experience Required:
Deep experience in managing strategic talent/ambassador partnerships.
Very strong understanding of Sports & Music industry landscape.
Expert negotiator for talent, property, and music licensing including shaping the rights requirements and pitch documents for strategic partnerships.
10 years of experience in major CPG and/or Scale agency organizations.
Differentiating Competencies Required:
Ability to navigate matrix organization at its most complex (multiple categories, multiple brands, multiple global teams, all regional teams).
Very strong sense for organizational dynamics, ability to build highly trusted relationships and influence through both formal and informal channels.
Comfort and courage to take calculated risks, deal with high ambiguity, and operate in the grey.
Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with peers, team members, external partners, and senior executives.
Highly motivated self-starter with resilience in the pursuit of objectives, willingness to take on new challenges and work to resolve issues while working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong existing relationships across the music and football/sports industries and proven track record of success.
Natural collaborator and excellent influencer who enjoys working with and through others to drive success.
