We work with law enforcement agencies globally to identify, arrest, and prosecute traffickers, and provide comprehensive care for survivors. We also educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission. 

 

Job Summary: 

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing the reputation of the organization by supporting the development and execution of effective communications plans. The PR Specialist will work closely with the media, support the events, and manage all social media content while ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with the organization’s brand and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Relations: Manage daily media monitoring and database. Build and maintain strong relationships with local media contacts. Develop and implement media relations strategies, write and distribute press releases, and secure media coverage to promote the organization’s initiatives and enhance its public image.
  • Events: Support the planning and  execution of publicity events designed to drive awareness for and enhance  the organization’s reputation. Ensure events align with overall organization strategies and goals.
  • Social Media: Work closely with the social media manager to develop and manage social media programs to drive awareness and build and enhance the organization’s reputation. Create content that resonates with target audiences and aligns with the organization’s brand voice.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a public relations firm or corporate public relations environment.
  • Strong media relations skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
  • Experience in planning and executing events that enhance organizational reputation.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages.
  • Experience in crisis support, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and manage reputation during crises.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and executive leadership.
