Summary

The Public Relations Assistant supports the PR team in building and maintaining a positive public image for the organization or its clients. This role involves assisting with media relations, coordinating events, creating content, and conducting research to enhance the effectiveness of public relations strategies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Media Relations:

    • Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, media kits, and other public relations materials.
    • Maintain and update media contact lists.
    • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports summarizing key findings.
    • Respond to media inquiries under the guidance of senior PR staff.
  • Event Coordination:

    • Support planning and execution of PR events, press conferences, and promotional campaigns.
    • Manage logistics for events, including invitations, RSVPs, and vendor coordination.
    • Represent the organization or client at public events when needed.
  • Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct market and audience research to inform PR strategies.
    • Analyze competitor PR activities and trends.
    • Provide input on improving campaign effectiveness based on data insights.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Organize and maintain files related to public relations activities.
    • Schedule and prepare materials for team meetings.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the PR team.

Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and management tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
