H2M Architects + Engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm in the NY Metropolitan Area, seeks a licensed Architect to join our Melville team.

We’re looking for a Sr. Architect with 15+ years’ experience in architectural design. In this role, you will supervise and develop an architectural team for both public and private clients, and coordinate the efforts of both in-house and outside teams handling structural engineering, MEP design, civil, and environmental engineering services.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic go-getter who is comfortable managing work as well as interfacing with clients and supervising a team of architectural professionals. You will have the support of our 500+ staff to help you succeed in all aspects of your work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage studio budget and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and celebrate the successes of the architectural studio team.
  • Act as an elevated point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Provide regular two-way communication between the client and team to set proper client expectations.
  • Lead local production teams in the development, planning, and successful execution of projects.
  • Take ownership for quality execution of all projects undertaken by the team.
  • Consistently work towards evolving the workflow process and improving studio efficiency.
  • Oversee operational budget for studio and overall studio performance.
  • Perform other like duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of architectural design experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Architectural Design and the ability to manage and supervise staff.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture required; Master’s preferred.
  • Professional RA required.
  • Architecture enrollment in NCARB IDP preferred.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000 annually.
