Technical Product Marketer Job at Castle in New York
Castle, New York, NY, United States
Castle is a profitable Series A startup on a mission to revolutionize trust and safety for users across large consumer platforms like Canva, Atlassian, and Rockstar Games. Backed by Y Combinator, Index Ventures, and prominent angel investors from Datadog, Stripe, and New Relic, we empower fast-growing companies to combat fraud, abuse, and malicious activity.
As a Technical Product Marketer, you will own our product narrative, leading the way we communicate Castle’s product at a high level (e.g., fraud prevention) and diving into specific use cases (e.g., device fingerprinting, bot detection). You’ll be responsible for positioning us in a unique way that resonates with our target customers—developers—and sets Castle apart from other players in the fraud prevention space. You will work closely with our CEO, product, and engineering teams to drive product messaging, tutorials, content, and more.
We’re a distributed team with hubs in NYC (US), Cracow (Poland), and Malmo (Sweden). We prefer candidates who can work out of our Williamsburg office a couple of days a week, especially during ramp-up, but we’re flexible.
Responsibilities
- Own the product narrative: Develop and refine messaging around Castle’s fraud prevention solutions, balancing high-level messaging with technical details to appeal to developers.
- Understand the market: Research the competitive landscape and customer pain points to position Castle as a unique player, especially in the dev tools space.
- Lead the go-to-market strategy: Build our marketing strategy to engage developers and position us differently from competitors attending security and fraud conferences.
- Content creation: Write product updates, tutorials, guides, blog posts, and shoot video content that showcases how Castle solves fraud challenges.
- Product demos & events: Confidently run product demos, webinars, and attend relevant events to drive product adoption.
- Partnerships and integrations: Work closely with partners to ensure smooth product integrations and boost Castle’s visibility in the market.
- Review management: Own and manage Castle's presence on platforms like G2, ensuring we gather positive reviews that reflect our product value.
Qualifications
- Technical background: Experience in product or engineering is required to deeply understand the technical aspects of Castle’s offering and how it fits into the broader fraud prevention landscape.
- Strong writing skills: Ability to write clear, concise technical content that resonates with both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in positioning: Proven ability to position products uniquely in the market while addressing real customer pain points.
- Hands-on marketer: Comfortable creating product updates, running demos, writing tutorials, and engaging with the developer community through various content channels.
- Startup mindset: Adaptability and flexibility to pivot quickly and adjust strategies as we grow.
At Castle, you’ll be part of a team that’s dedicated to creating a safe, secure online environment for millions of users worldwide. If you’re ready to make a difference and help shape the future of digital security and fraud prevention, we want to hear from you.
