Location: New York, NY

Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)

We are seeking a UX Researcher to join our dynamic team, responsible for elevating user insights and championing user-centric design practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Interface with product, design, and development teams to advocate for user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
  • Identify the research needs of stakeholders and recommend appropriate methodologies to address them effectively.
  • Independently lead end-to-end research projects, from project initiation to data collection (fielding/interviewing) and presentation of findings.
  • Develop comprehensive UX Research artifacts including proposals, moderators guides, and results summaries.
  • Skillfully synthesizes research findings into actionable insights.
  • Proactively identify untapped research opportunities to enhance product value and execute them efficiently.
  • Manage recruitment and maintain databases of targeted research participants sourced internally and externally.
  • Act as a knowledge resource on user experience within the organization.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience conducting formal UX research.
  • Master's Degree or higher in HCI, psychology, human factors, social science, or related fields.
  • Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research techniques such as contextual inquiry, usability testing, competitive benchmarking, interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
  • Deep passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Familiarity with UX Research tools like OptimalSort, UserZoom, UserTesting.com, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using survey platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or equivalent.
  • Strong willingness to challenge conventional practices to address user needs better.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive projects forward independently.
