Job Description
• Act in alignment to the organization’s culture, products, image and target market
• Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy that balance our customers’ expectations and company objectives
• Analyze sales figures, customer reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
• Monitor stock movement and make recommendations to management regarding markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs
• Recommend product mix to help our retailers optimize sales
• Work with our sales team to create sales programs for better product turn
• Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that will create a shopping experience for our consumers
• Develop planograms, produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory
• Advise store management and personnel on maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Produce displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions displays
• Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result
• Come up with, revise and present design ideas with our merchandising team
• Monitor costs and work within budget
• Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
• Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a visual merchandiser or visual manager
• Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio
• Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays and space utilization
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
• Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Knowledge in eCommerce design and understanding of color, lighting, angles and visual storytelling with internet technical expertise to draw in clients.
• Knowledge Visual components such as page layout and photography that allow shoppers to see details of the pieces must work with product descriptions to entice shoppers to click and buy.
• Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and survey results
• BS degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar
