Job Description
Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer with our client in Madison, WI. This role is centered around working with a team of developers through all stages of project development, making key decisions regarding technology and components, and ensuring that the solution meets project requirements and business needs.
This role requires proficiency in web development technologies such as PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, Vue.js, and MySQL, with a strong familiarity in database design and development. The successful candidate must also have experience with source control systems and version control, as well as a working knowledge of containerized, distributed environments such as Docker/Kubernetes.
This is a Direct Hire role that will require a hybrid work schedule in Madison.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to fully comprehend business and product requirements.
• Oversee, delegate, and approve the scope of work to be executed by the team.
• Communicate with team leads, stakeholders, and other teams on all aspects of projects under development.
• Lead the design of the high-level structure of software systems.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while maintaining a strong focus on scalability and high availability.
• Work closely with the team lead to implement new technologies and proofs of concept.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and procedures for projects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, providing strong leadership to the team.
• Participate in the training and development of new team members.
• Demonstrable experience as a Web Developer, preferably with new feature design experience and ability to mentor other developers.
• Proficiency in PHP (Laravel Preferred), JavaScript/Vue.js, and MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design principles for cross-platform compatibility.
• Ability to design and manage API's.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Keen understanding of user experience and user interface design principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
