Bartech Systems International (bartech.com), leader in Automatic Minibar Systems for the hospitality industry, and local Las Vegas small business, has an open position for a Junior Web Developer. We are looking for a motivated person to join our team in order to help continue to develop and maintain Cloudbart, Bartech’s cloud hosted automatic minibar solution. NOTE: Local candidates only. No recruiters, no contract workers, and no development firms. We also will not be able to sponsor anyone for a US Visa and/or citizenship purposes. This is a hybrid/remote position that requires the employee to report to the office regularly but not every day.

 

Required Skills

  • 3+ years experience developing web applications using the Ruby on Rails.

  • 3+ years experience with front end web development languages and frameworks, including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.

  • Hands on experience with Responsive Web Design

  • 2+ years experience designing and maintaining Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL Server, or MySQL.

  • 2+ years experience developing and integrating with REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Ability to use Git for version control.

  • Experience developing in a Linux environment.

  • Knowledge of the SDLC and CI/CD best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge and/or experience about AWS and its services, including but not limited to EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.

  • Experience working with a multi-tenancy database layout using PostgreSQL.

  • Knowledge of other Object Oriented Programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.

  • Experience using WireShark for network debugging purposes.

  • Experience with firewalls and network security.

  • Experience working with various technical compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 270001, etc.

  • Experience using Ionic and Angular to develop iOS and Android apps.
