Senior Cost Accountant ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a leading manufacturer, and distributor. This client has a new permanent opportunity for a Cost Accountant. Company is very profitable, strongly growing year over year and has many long-term, high-profile customers. The Cost Accountant will provide guidance to leadership and be responsible for all cost-related functions such as cost variance analysis, labor, overhead and inventory analysis, reporting, and budgeting. This is a high profile, high visibility role that directly supports the CFO and the Controller. Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accountant :

Lead and be the subject matter expert for the Cost Accounting/Analysis function

Assist with close, forecasting, budget and other cost/investment activities

Provide Financial/Cost/KPI analysis to senior leadership for strategic decisions

Sales and margin trends / forecasts

Analysis by Customer and Product line

Budgeting, materials, labor, and overhead analysis

Inventory valuation analysis

Support various groups with initiatives in cost reductions, margin enhancements and working capital improvements

Assist with process and controls improvements

Experience for the Senior Cost Accountant:

Bachelors in accounting, finance, business or related

Strong Cost Accounting/Analysis experience

Advanced excel

Strong business experience and ability to think strategically

Excellent presentation skills, ability to explain financial results/impacts to all levels

Strong ERP systems experience
