As an integral part of the team, the Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring all the trains run on time and the services promised are delivered. The Director of Operations serves as a critical linchpin between the wealth management and accounting and tax services teams.
Strong candidates possess good people management skills, have an operations mind and are committed to continuous process improvement. This individual is able to review reports, analyze data and hold people accountable to ensure top quality client service.
Essential Job Functions:
Review daily task reports and adjust workloads and workflow as necessary
Review processes and create appropriate documentation
Manage and engage in client communication as necessary
Establish performance goals and conduct semi-annual performance reviews
Work with human resources to source, interview, on-board and train full-time and seasonal team members
Evaluate technology solutions and look for ways to best utilize resources for efficiency
Manage and be accountable to a budget
Work with senior leadership to execute on the strategic initiatives for the firm and roll out new services and product offerings as needed
This position is required to work extended hours during tax season from February-April.

Solid mastery of intermediate level MS Excel - including pivot tables, formulas, and macros, preferred
Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pick up new technology (current applications used: Thompson Reuters - Practice Management and Ultra Tax, QuickBooks Desktop, Redtail CRM, MS Office)
Upbeat, smart, resourceful, solution-oriented
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) not required
Proven experience in operations management within a professional services business required, operations experience in a tax and accounting firm and/or wealth management setting is preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and wealth management practices preferred, or possess a strong curiosity and willingness to learn Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills:
