Job Summary for Senior Accountant:

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Accounting team and reports to the Controller. Responsibilities include general ledger and cash accounting, in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

This role will assist the Controller in key processes, preparation of financial statements, implementing internal controls, conducting technical GAAP research, maintaining the accounting system and related records, and may be involved in projects from time to time.

The Senior Accountant will have a proven track record including prior work experience within a corporation's accounting department.

The Senior Accountant will communicate effectively and without bias on financial, accounting, risk, regulatory and other matters relevant to the effective operation of the company. Additionally, this role may play a key role in business acquisition due diligence and integration of purchased businesses.

Job Responsibilities: • Complete and post journal entries in an accurate and timely manner. • Maintain "best in class" financial and accounting competencies, methods, processes, and systems to support the company's present-day operations while ensuring scalability to support future growth. • Participate, as directed, in the accounting processes of the company and its subsidiaries, including, but not limited to, revenue recognition, general accounting, cash reconciliations, non-routine transactions, business combinations, tax, treasury, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related reports. • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process of the company and its subsidiaries, in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the United States and in compliance with accounting standards established within other countries where they company has operations (IFRS, for example). • Ensure that the financial reporting methods and policies are consistently maintained in accordance with all reporting and regulatory requirements. • Perform research, as needed, to ensure all new accounting, disclosure and reporting requirements are understood, anticipated, and implemented as required. • Provide timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting to organizational leadership, investors, and other required entities such as regulators. • Maintain productive relationships with teammates, auditors and consultants hired by the company to provide financial, analysis, accounting, audit, and tax services. • Works effectively across all functional areas of the company and demonstrates a service-oriented approach in completing assigned duties. • Contributor to business acquisition activities. Key Skills/Experience for Senior Accountant: • 4+ years' experience in accounting roles including prior experience in a company's accounting department. • Experience with a multi-entity company is desirable. • CPA certificate (either active or inactive) is highly desirable but no required. • Education requirement: bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. • Experience with cash accounting methods, U.S. GAAP, and journal entries is mandatory. • Experience with business acquisitions, purchase price accounting and fair value concepts is desirable. • Experience with consolidation methods and producing consolidated financial statements is also desirable. • Must work well and develop productive relationships with bankers, auditors, investors, and the company's audit committee. • Prior experience in smaller or emerging companies is highly desirable. • Prior experience in manufacturing or retail is desirable. • Ability to adapt and innovate in a growth company situation. • Ability to multi-task and must work equally well independently and collaboratively toward achieving company goals. • Excellent and demonstrable knowledge of corporate accounting and finance best practices. • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, accounting and reporting systems, payroll systems, remote meeting platforms, and collaboration tools. • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present, speak in front of groups and lead discussions. • Ability to strategize and quickly solve problems relevant to job duties. #INNOV2024
