Tax Manager
Location: Remote
Must have REIT experience

Responsibilities of Tax Manager:
Prepare REIT compliance tests, including quarterly asset and annual income tests.
Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations and footnote.
Prepare annual earnings and profits calculation and supporting schedules.
Assist with annual REIT taxable income projections.
Responsible for federal, state, and local tax compliance, including the preparation of accurate federal and state estimated payment and extension calculations and forms.
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax return supporting schedules, including tax consolidations, tax depreciation, and state apportionment.
Coordinate and interact with outside accounting firms for certain outsourced tax return preparation services and other projects as needed.
Assist with tax audits, including sales tax audits, as needed.
Complete federal and state and local tax research as needed.
Ensure and document compliance with internal controls. Coordinate and update process documentation as needed.
Interact with accounting and other departments especially in regards to ensuring financial data is accurate.
What the company needs in a Tax Manager:
CPA is a PLUS
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
MUST have REIT experience
Public accounting experience preferred.
Excellent technical accounting experience. Ability to research authoritative literature for proper accounting treatment.
Extensive spreadsheet knowledge required.
Ability to work with a team and ability to pay close attention to detail.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: $120,000-$140,000 depending on experience
