We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Supervisor
to join our client's hospitality-driven team, managing critical accounting functions in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will excel in handling monthly journal entries, overseeing a small accounting department, processing payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of daily financial transactions. They host an annual holiday party, provide holiday bonuses, and organize associate appreciation events throughout the year. Accounting Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
1. Monthly Journal Entries & Profit/Loss Statement (50%)
Prepare and post both recurring and one-time journal entries, including bank statement entries.
Reconcile credit card transactions, cash and check deposits, and various other transactions.
Ensure accurate month-end accruals, particularly for accounts payable, to reflect current expenses in monthly financials.
2. Supervising Accounting Department (5%)
Oversee a team, reviewing weekly accounts payable batches, invoices, and submitting them for approval.
Manage accounts receivable aging
Oversee payroll and cashiering functions, including managing any cash and check shortages.
3. Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing (25%)
Process payroll bi-weekly
Reconcile missing punches for hourly employees, approve benefit times, and ensure correct rates.
Make necessary adjustments between timekeeping and payroll systems to ensure accuracy.
4. Daily Revenue Review (25%)
Review transactions across three revenue outlets
Verify revenue and credit card batches, making adjustments and approvals as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
OR
at least 4 years of accounting or finance experience, including AP/AR experience.
Supervisory experience in an accounting role, with exposure to AP and AR functions.
Preferred Skills
Payroll processing experience
Background in hospitality accounting.
Leadership experience and strong organizational skills.
