About the Company:
A prestigious family office dedicated to managing the financial affairs and investments for multiple entities is seeking an analytical Senior Accountant for their team. Their commitment lies in delivering exceptional service and upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by focusing on accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, and analytical reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, and the ability to extract and analyze data from various sources. The ideal candidate will have a financial background and be adept at identifying discrepancies and missing elements in financial statements.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
Manage AP and AR processes efficiently.
Oversee billing operations and ensure timely collections and payments.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and investigate discrepancies.
Conduct heavy analytical reporting, including "what-if" scenarios and data extraction.
Utilize Power Query and other tools to extract and analyze data from various sources.
General Accounting:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications for Senior Accountant Candidates:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of progressive experience in accounting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including Power Query.
Experience with NetSuite is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Experience in forensic accounting is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Senior Accountant applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
This role is onsite; only local northern Colorado Senior Accountant applicants will be considered.
