Assistant Controller Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

5+ years' progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on consolidations and month-end close processes.

Supervisory experience in a team-based environment.

CPA or public accounting background = a plus.

Experience with real estate or solar energy accounting = major plus.

Strong working knowledge of consolidation principles and GAAP.

Experience with Oracle Cloud (Oracle Fusion) = a plus.

Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

Oversee corporate-level accounting, analysis, and reconciliations.

Supervise month-end close, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

Maintain financial reconciliation schedules and ensure compliance with SOX.

Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

Review financial statements and cash distribution calculations.

Mentor accounting staff and ensure proper controls and documentation.

Collaborate with ERP consultants and assist with external audits.
